I thought I’d take a moment to answer some of the questions I’ve been getting about “The Challenge of Me” class at Big Picture Scrapbooking.
Please let me know if you have any other questions and I’ll be happy to answer!!
I’m a digital scrapbooker. Will the class work for this format?
Most definitely! This class is mainly about the content. It’s about telling your stories no matter which format (or size) you choose to tell it. You are free to create digital pages, paper pages, hybrid pages or even simply just a simple journal! The important part is that you have stories to tell and I want to help you tell them!
What if I don’t like the album size you assign me?
It is your choice to accept the size I give you or you may do an album size of your own choosing. I do however, want to encourage you to break out of your normal size and try something new! All of the pages I created are 6”x 12” and this was my first time ever doing this size. The first couple of pages were hard for me, but after I finished those I started really enjoying it and I felt more creative! (Be sure to take the survey that is available after you sign up for the class!)
The class is being offered right in the middle of summer! I have quite a few plans that will prevent me completing a new page everyday (or even week) during the class. Will the material be available for me to download and do at my own pace?
I understand. I have a few plans (and even my birthday!) during the 4-weeks of class. I do not expect you to have to keep up during the class (even if you don’t have prior plans!)!. All of the instructions are available in PDF format for you to download and use as you have time. The galleries and message boards will remain open after the class has closed to allow you to access the inspiration there as you find time to work on the content of the class!
What are some sample pages we will be creating?
I don’t want to give too much away as far as specific topics, but I will tell you that it’s broken up into four categories: 1 - My Life, 2 - My Family & Friends, 3 - My Work, Education, Hobbies and 4 - My World. We will not be covering specifics like I was born on this date in the this place. We will instead be focusing on the bigger things such as, what do you think is the meaning of life, what are your relationships like with family members, what are your views on religion, politics, economy, etc. The kind of things that make you who you are!! I will be providing you with 26 different prompts (layout ideas) to help you tell your story.
Oh yeah, and I wanted to ask you all a question
"What are you most looking forward to in the class"???
