ScrapFest was so much fun. I wish I would have had more time to network and see other things, but it was a whirlwind trip! I got to the mall a little bit before my first class was scheduled on Friday. I had just enough time to watch Kelly Goree teach her Basic Grey class, while I thought through my Lily Bee class, which was right after her's. Then I taught 2 back to back classes, had just enough time to grab some food and then catch a taxi to Eden Prairie to teach at the Crop Around Town, until late at night. Then I got back to my hotel just to crash so I could catch an early morning flight home. I didn't even get to shop, but that works out better for my pocket book anyway!!
I was so inspired from my trip that while I was at the Milwaukee airport for an almost 2 hr layover I drew up a sketch and planned out my layout. I knew I had an assignment to use the Scor-Pal and Glue Arts (watch the Glue Arts blog for a tutorial on this layout, probably tomorrow!) and then the Studio Calico Glee Club kit made it all fall into place perfectly. I'm really happy with this layout. It just felt like me the whole time I was doing it and it came together very quickly. Love it when that happens. Love when having a sketch ahead of times makes the process so easy. I didn't edit any of my pictures, other than to size for printing!
And here's the sketch I created to make this layout!
